Long time marine terminal operator and stevedore in Texas, Ceres returned to the Port of Galveston in 2021 providing stevedoring services to cruise vessels. Ceres partnered with Royal Caribbean as owners of the Galveston Cruise Terminal (GCT). Ceres operates and maintains the cruise terminal for the ownership group. GCT opened on November 9, 2022, under a long term lease with the Port of Galveston. The terminal is certified LEED Gold and the first Net Zero Energy cruise facility in the world.
