SSA Marine is committed to fostering strong partnerships with our stakeholders—including customers, carrier partners, ports, and surrounding communities—to support decarbonization, reduce emissions and resource consumption, while fostering long-term business resilience.
Our progress
- Completed an annual inventory of scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gases for our global operations, in accordance with the GHG Protocol, since 2021
- Developed centralized environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies that guide our business practices, ensuring alignment with our ESG commitments
- Developed a company-wide employee satisfaction survey to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement
Our goals
- Achieve a 15% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions across global operations by end of 2024 (from 2021 baseline)
- Maintain GRESB Score of 90+
- Developing short- and long-term decarbonization strategies that will inform emission reduction targets as of 2025
